In the described role you are a member of the Technical Service team, providing global customer and industry support for the XSYS nyloflex® and nyloprint® printing plate range as well as 1st line Application Service for ThermoFlexX imager and Catena-E exposure units.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Worldwide technical customer support including customer visit.
- Perform root cause analysis and do troubleshooting for technical issues reported by customers
- Give platemaking training to customers and optimise process parameters on commonly used processing equipment like LAMS laser, exposure as well as washout units
- Printing plate related first line service for ThermoFlexX imager and exposure units
- Conduct customer audits in the course of the XSYS FlexoExpert platemaking certification programme
- Provide technical training and product information through presentations to customers, distributors and colleagues
- Document analyses and visits within technical reports
- Extensive internal and external communication in English
- Run internal and customer related projects
- Hands-on platemaking of customer benchmark requests
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in printing technology or a comparable education
- Fundamental understanding of printing technologies required
- Knowledge about commonly used repro workflows for flexographic or letterpress platemaking beneficial
- Knowledge of PrePress software for flexo platemaking a plus
- Experience in operating usually used processing equipment for flexographic or letterpress plates is beneficial
- Ability to quickly learn how to handle machine operating software
- Several years of experience gained in the field, including analysis of technical problems and providing solutions within technical reports
- Experience with standard MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Passion for technology; desire to learn new things
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50 %)
- Strong service and hands-on mentality
- Motivated self-starter
- Well-developed communication and language skills; English mandatory, German a plus
- Valid driving license class B
